TCGenius.aiPokémon TCG in 2026: the Mega Evolution sets, chase cards and where to check prices
Pokémon is the biggest trading card game in the world, and its collector side moves fastest. Here's where the English sets stand in October 2026, and what TCGenius tracks for you today.
The latest English sets
| Set | English release | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pitch Black | July 17, 2026 | Mega Evolution series; Mega Darkrai ex is the chase |
| 30th Celebration | September 16, 2026 | Anniversary set |
| 30th Classic Collection | September 16, 2026 | Anniversary reprints of classic cards |
Our release dates come from TCGdex, an open Pokémon card database. It lists English sets once they're confirmed, so the next English set will appear on the Pokémon sets page as soon as it's listed there.
The chase in Pitch Black
As of October 6, the most valuable card in Pitch Black is the Mega Darkrai ex Special Illustration Rare at about $160 on TCGplayer. Its Mega Hyper Rare version is close behind at about $146. The Pitch Black page lists every card in the set with its rarity and market price, plus what one copy of every card costs.
Prices for new sets swing hard in the first weeks. Treat them as a guide, not a quote, and check the date beside every price.
Every set, every card list
TCGenius now has a public page for every English Pokémon set: its release date, its full card list and, for sets from the last 14 months, market prices for each card. Start at all Pokémon sets, grouped by series.
Is Genny building Pokémon decks?
Not yet. Genny is learning Pokémon. Today she builds, grades and simulates Yu-Gi-Oh! decks. We'd rather add a game when the deck building is accurate than ship one that invents cards. In the meantime, release dates, card lists and chase prices are live, and they update nightly.
If you collect, the chase-card posts on our blog are written automatically after each new set, straight from the price data.
