Import a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck from a photo or screenshot
TCGenius can read a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck from a photo of the cards laid out or a Master Duel deck screenshot. It lists the cards it can read, grades the deck against the meta, and lets you load it into the deck builder to edit.
What problem it solves
Typing out 40 to 60 card names, plus an Extra Deck, is slow and easy to get wrong. That's the step that stops most people from ever putting their paper deck into a deck builder.
A photo is quicker. The reader lists what it could read, so you can see and fix anything it missed instead of trusting a guess.
How it works
- In the Yu-Gi-Oh! builder, choose "Rate a deck photo".
- Upload a clear photo of the cards laid out, or a Master Duel deck screenshot (up to about 6 MB).
- The cards are read from the image. Cards that can't be read are left out rather than guessed.
- The deck gets a build score, matchups and Competitive and Casual grades.
- Load it into the builder to fix, finish or test it.

Questions
Can I scan my Yu-Gi-Oh! deck with my phone?
Yes. Take a photo of the cards laid out so the names are readable and upload it in the Yu-Gi-Oh! builder. It works with Master Duel screenshots too.
What makes a photo readable?
Good light, no glare from sleeves, cards not overlapping and close enough to read the names. If too few cards can be read, you'll be asked for a clearer photo.
Does it guess cards it can't read?
No. It only lists cards whose names it can read, so check the list before you rely on it.
Does deck photo import work for Pokémon or One Piece?
Not yet. In those builders you can paste a list instead. To add single cards to your collection from photos, use the card scanner, which works for all three games.
Is it free?
Yes. Reading a deck photo counts toward the daily AI allowance rather than a separate limit. If you have an account, confirm your email first.
