Yu-Gi-Oh! deck rater: grade your deck against the meta
The TCGenius deck rater scores a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck out of 100 from five parts (consistency, synergy, interaction, Extra Deck and deck size), estimates its matchups against the top meta decks, and gives it a Competitive and a Casual letter grade. It's free and has no daily limit.
What problem it solves
It's hard to judge your own deck. You know it works in your head, but not whether it opens well often enough, whether it can stop the decks topping tournaments, or which part to fix first.
The rater gives you a number and the reasons behind it, so you can see whether the weak spot is too few starters, too little interaction, or an Extra Deck that doesn't support the Main Deck.
How it works
- Put a deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh! builder (build it, paste a list, load a .ydk, or upload a photo of it).
- Press "Score my deck".
- You get a build score out of 100: Consistency (30), Synergy (25), Interaction (20), Extra Deck (15) and Deck size (10). An illegal deck is capped at 40.
- You see estimated matchups against the top 6 meta decks, each with a grade and the reasons.
- You get a Competitive and a Casual grade (A+ to F), then can ask Genny how to raise it.

Questions
How do I know if my Yu-Gi-Oh! deck is good?
Score it. The rater checks how often it opens with a starter, how well its cards work together, how much it can interrupt the opponent and whether its Extra Deck fits, then compares it with the top decks in the meta.
What does the grade mean?
A+ is 90 and up, A is 80, B 70, C 55 and D 40; below that is F. The build score is out of 100, and the Competitive grade also weighs your matchups against the meta.
Are the matchups real games?
No. Matchups are estimates from the cards in each deck. To play real games, use the duel simulator, which runs your deck against opponents in the actual game engine.
Why is my deck capped at 40?
Because it isn't legal in the format you picked: too many copies of a limited card, a Forbidden card, or the wrong deck size. Fix the flagged cards and score it again.
Can I rate a deck from a photo?
Yes, for Yu-Gi-Oh!. Upload a clear photo or a Master Duel screenshot and the cards are read and scored.
Is the deck rater free?
Yes, with no daily limit.
