How many cards are in a Pokémon deck?
A Pokémon TCG deck has exactly 60 cards. You can run up to 4 copies of any card with the same name, except basic Energy, which has no limit, and the deck needs at least one Basic Pokémon.
The rules in one table
| Rule | Limit |
|---|---|
| Deck size | Exactly 60 cards |
| Copies of one card (same name) | 4 |
| Basic Energy | No limit |
| ACE SPEC cards | 1 per deck in total |
| Basic Pokémon | At least 1 |
Before the game each player shuffles, draws 7 and sets aside 6 Prize cards from the 60.
